A Little About Me:
Travel and Fashion
Boston is always a great idea. You can catch a Celtics game at the Garden, or go see the Red Sox at Fenway. Newbury Street is the place to go for shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. Plus, you have the Prudential Center nearby. You can also do a Duck Tour, stop by the Boston Common Park, Faneuil Hall, Museum of Fine Arts, or Science. As far as Night life Bijou, or Cure are the places to go to and if you don’t mind taking a 35-40 minute drive North of Boston to a small city called Lawrence for a great night life and delicious cuisines.
The US dollar holds more value than the Colombian Peso so you definitely get your moneys worth when going to Colombia. Recommend finding an Airbnb and connecting with the locals. If you don't speak Spanish no worries you'll find some folks who speak English. Parque Lleras is a nice night life park to go and visit grab some local cuisines and alcoholic beverages, beers, etc. For night life feel free to ask the locals and they will point you in the right direction. Try not to be too flashy, showing that you have money or fancy clothing because they will take advantage of you (hustle you). Stop by the Comuna 13 which is a neighborhood that has been reinvented and is much more tourist friendly with lots of history. Be sure to take a ride on the metro cable although transportation is extremely affordable via buses/taxis. If you are a Pablo Escobar fan these next destinations are a must. La Hacienda Napoles is a bit of a drive but worth it, La Cathedral which was the jail and the Barrio Pablo Escobar which was Pablos neighborhood. When you see his mural you will know you are in the right place. You can also go and see the Monaco building which was once Pablo's home. And you can also visit his gravesite at the Cemetario Jardines. Depending how long is your stay I also recommend taking a trip to Guatape and seeing or climbing to the top of El Penon de Guatape. And lastly stopping by Zocalos, a beautiful village filled with bright colors and shops where you can purchase souvenirs.
Dubai is only an hour in a half drive from Abu Dhabi so you can fly into AUH or DXB if your looking to find a decent price in flights. The Burj Khalifa is a must being the tallest building in the world. You can purchase tickets to go up and see the beautiful view at the Dubai Mall. Dubai Mall has just about every store you could think of. Eat, shop, go ice skating check out the aquarium all inside the mall. Tons of options and once your done you can go outside and enjoy the water fountain show in front of the Burj Khalifa. You can also go visit and see Atlantis the Palm, Burj Al Arab(very expensive hotel 2000.00usd a night), Kite Beach, go on a desert safari tour (ride camels, sand boarding, see the sunset, henna, food bbq, night show, and of course hookah).
Abu Dhabi is a must on your list. Everyone is extremely friendly for the most part. Be kind and polite and that’s exactly what you will get in return. Be sure to stop by the Sheikh Zayed Mosque much more tourist friendly now. Desert safari extremely affordable and a great activity to do. Enjoy the culture, and the scenery. Additional quad bikes, camel rides, fire breathing traditional dancing night show. Tons of souvenirs to purchase, be sure to bring some sand back. As far as night life Mad on Yas Island is the place to be by far the #1 nightclub to go to in Abu Dhabi. As well as Stars n Bars great food, drinks, music and hookah. In November, Formula 1 is a great time although prices increase around this time. Dubai is also an hour in a half by car or there is a bus that travels to and from frequently time varies from 1.5 to 3 hours by bus.
Usually go to Paris once a year. Keep an eye on flights can find great deals if flight is booked in advance. (Couple weeks/months in advance) I like to fly into CDG relatively close to the city. I enjoy staying at the Pullman Paris Hotel with an amazing balcony view of the Eiffel. Eiffel is more tourist friendly now, great to visit and explore and if your hungry stop by the restaurant inside the Eiffel (try to reserve in advance) If you have time you can also do a Siene River night cruise seeing the Eiffel light up at night is a beautiful sight to see. You can also find very nice and affordable places to stay on Airbnb. Uber and taxi’s are fairly affordable. Change your Currency to Euros at your local bank or airport. Cash Exchange rates will not be in your favor out in Paris. Or if you have a credit card with no foreign transaction fees use that but you still need a little bit of cash on you. If you don’t mind walking I recommend passing through Champs Elysees, beautiful scenery, stop by and see the Arc De Triumph. In Paris you will find tons of designer stores, tax free shopping, just be careful with importing fees. Check out the Louvre Museum you won’t regret it and purchase your tickets online and in advance recommended. Moulin Rouge is a nice show, get you some champagne and experience the culture and vibes. Nightlife is great tons of nightclubs to choose from. One recommendation is Club79 (which is no longer there) I believe they replaced it with Queen Nightclub. Clubs close and open quite frequently so keep that in mind. I recommend getting your tickets in advance, take care of everything before hand so when you get to Paris everything is already planned and you can enjoy yourself during your limited/extended stay. The worst feeling is going somewhere and not having enough time to do something or being “sold-out” so plan in advance. (Also a great excuse to return to Paris and plan another trip if you miss out on a couple things) Lastly, be aware of pickpocketing, distractions, and hustlers they know you are not from the area and will try and take advantage of you (hustle you). And if you can’t speak French don’t bother attempting, not all but most won’t talk back or “help you with directions”. Enjoy Paris and remember book and plan everything in advance, set yourself up for success!
