One of the most beautiful places in the Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale. It's a hidden gem in Arizona! I have visited several times, but during my most recent experience I was able to really immerse myself in Scottsdale's culture. I visited not one, but two black owned businesses that provided phenomenal service. The Sparkle Bar is a makeup studio in the heart of Old Town which celebrates the diversity in beauty. It's the perfect place to get dolled up for a special event or just for a night on the town. If you're looking for an amazing brunch spot with great food and vibes, visit Sugar Jam. Yes, the restaurant is in Scottsdale on North Hayden Rd serving up southern food excellence. You're likely to run into a celebrate or two. I highly recommend visiting both businesses but please make a reservation well in advance so you're not waiting hours for service.
