A Little About Me:
2016 USA Track and Field Olympian, lover of culture and food!
On my European tour I spent about four days in Paris ( not enough time, I recommend 5-7 days). I stayed at the Marriott Paris Rive Gauche; I loved this hotel, it was close to metro stops, less than 3 minute walk and near lots of little shops and restaurants. Paris offers something for every kind of person! There is ALOT TO DO! The Eiffel Tower might seem like everyone's must do, but it is truly beautiful! take it a step further and brave the courage to go to the top! Go early in the day as the crowds will increase. Also, There is much do to in the surrounding area; pubs were popular, some of the smoothest beer Ive ever had! small french eateries, dessert bars (Try the crepes with ice cream!!) Also, If you so happen to go after dark the tower LIGHTS UP! , talk about romantic! Be sure to shoot over to the Louvre musuem, this is where The Mona Lisa resides, but most importantly this is where Beyonce shot ApeS*** (couldnt help myself, I love her). I highly recommend purchasing your ticket online so you can walk right in! The museum offers entry time slots throughout the day, if not, you take a chance at battling major crowds! the Mona Lisa draws thousands! Also, I love how easy it was to get around, The trains are inexpensive (3 euros roughly for roundtrip) so you can go anywhere within minutes! Paris is so magical!!
NASSAU, Bahamas is a vacation that will not disappoint! What I loved most was the atmosphere catered to every kind of traveler; the solo adventurer, couples, girls trip, bro trip you name it, there is something for everyone. NOW, lets talk about the MOOLAH (MONEY) . I have visited quite a few places in the caribbean and the Bahamas is by far the most expensive. The Bahamian dollar is equivalent to the US dollar unlike other caribbean islands. My friends and I chose the AIR BNB route, we had a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom townhouse for 5 days for $1,200 total we went for New Years and it was the most reasonable accommodation as the resorts were about $3,000 for 5 days. The townhome sat 1 mile from the beaches and local markets so we were able to walk into town and rent bikes to get around, They do have a bus system which can take you up and down the island for as low as $2-$5, They are operated by locals! people just hop in and hand the driver change it is WILD! Meals averaged $15-$60 depending on what you decide to eat. The local food is "CONCH" which is found in conch shells and they use this in EVERYTHING! As for activity they offer it all jet-ski, scuba-diving, snuba-diving, waterslide options (resorts) speed boats and snorkeling. These activities average $100-200 each and are usually hourly rates, SO Get comfortable bargaining! Also, you can visit other islands either by plane or boat! These so-called quick trips average $200-400 per person. The popular stop is Exuma beach where the swimming pigs have gained world attention! This attraction alone will run you $200-$300 depending on the day you go and company you use to take you to the island! This vacation adds up very quickly! I recommend regardless! Like any vacation PLAN & SAVE!
