I'm am an African American who grew up mostly outside of the United States (in places like Accra, Ghana, London, England, Hong Kong, (SAR) China, Bali, Indonesia, and Johannesburg, South Africa). After graduating from Yale in 2012, I moved back to Hong Kong to teach English at a university here and to study Chinese language. In my free time I love to take trips around greater Asia, create hand painted and wearable artworks like backpacks and jackets, and create dreadlock care videos for YouTube. One of the major goals of my channel is to encourage black women to be able to individually take care of our own hair, because that can be an important components towards the independence and freedom that's allows us to leave our comfort zones and home countries.
