Definitely the best experience I've had as a black woman. Not only were the locals kind and ready to help, but my best friend and I experienced certain privileges like getting into clubs and VIP sections for free without asking. We were at a shopping centre when the store buzzer went off and we came to a complete halt waiting for the security to check us and our purchases only to have him smile at us and politely wave us to proceed while he went to check the 2 white teenage girls next to us. There are a couple more experiences that left us in awe but those two stand out the most. Split is generally so gorgeous and there's always so much to do and experience in the historic town. We were there for 2 and a half weeks and there was never a shortage of things to do, adventures to go on and parties to go to and everything was very affordable (this is a big deal coming from someone who deals in South African Rands). Hands down the top 3 cities I've ever been to.
