Biscoe, Arkansas is located off highway 70, exit 202, a few miles away from De Valls Bluff. It is a VERY small town with a population of about 300 people. Needless to say, everybody knows everybody here. The people are very nice and friendly. Biscoe was founded by Cherokee sharecroppers. The town was known as Fredonia before the name change. One thing you may notice is that there aren’t any “white people” nearby. They live in the small towns surrounding Biscoe. Some of these towns are highly racist and I would recommend using extreme caution when venturing further outside of this area. There is only 1 convenience store and a restaurant called Craig’s BBQ. If you do happen to be traveling down highway 70 and want to stop in a little historical town, stop by Craig’s and pick up some of the best BBQ and homemade pecan pies you’ll ever have.
