Bora Bora was an absolute dream, we actually went to 3 islands in French Polynesia and had a bucketlist trip. We thought there was nothing really to do there but after visiting we realized there was so much. We stayed at Conrad Bora Bora and had an overwater villa. While it was expensive we used credit card points to lighten the load. Check out our video below to see for yourself

We had an outstanding stay at the four seasons resport. The hotel has hands down the best view in Bora Bora from all 5 star resorts. Rooms looked big, modern and renovated (we read other resorts rooms were worn out). The staff was so kind and helpful:Breakfast was amazing and the views were outstanding we fully recommend this hotel.

French Polynesia can be summed up in one word AMAZING. The only thing I didn’t like is that there weren’t more black people. I say that to encourage y’all to go they love black people there. I felt welcomed and appreciated by the local Tahitians. I went to three islands/motus. Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. Why? This is the most cost-efficient way to do it. Bora Bora is expensive there is no getting around that. So, to avoid this spread your time over other islands.

Tahiti is great for a short time, do a tour, lounge on the beach and then move on. I took the ferry to Moorea about $25 round trip. I stayed at a villa in Moorea and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The views are amazing and the location perfect. The price point is even better. Here I booked an excursion with Moorea Activities and they are the kindest people ever. I did the jet ski and atv tour, absolutely worth it. The rum punch at the end is the best!

In Bora Bora I went all out and stayed in an Over Water Bungalow at Inter Continental Thalasso Spa. Everyone should do this at least once in a life time. I loved the resort and I spent my days looking over the ocean, reading and drinking. I loved their spa. Everything was pretty much out of my price point. I love to treat myself but $200 for a massage, nuh bruh. I did the day pass at $50 for a whole day in the spa and it was worth it as well. If you stay there you must try the deep-sea hydro therapy. I also did an excursion with Lagoon Services and this is probably one of the best excursions I have ever done – hands down.

Food: I didn’t love it. The one day I ate food I loved was at the Lagoon Service excursions where our food was grilled right on the beach with no frills.

People: I loved them. One guy even asked me if I was married. Next time bruh.
Sights: Amazing beaches and views. Opportunities to hike, snorkel, dive, jet ski whatever you want.

Transport: You can take the ferry between islands, but Bora Bora requires a flight because it is further out. Also, in Moorea hitch hiking is totally a thing because taxis are virtually non-existent.

Money: You determine what you spend. Eat a nice brunch then dinner. Buy duty free alcohol and snacks.

Omg it’s breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous here! Very very very expensive! The weather have been great! We are staying at the LeMeridien resort. There’s NO nightlife here at all just relaxation. I suggest you purchase liquor at the airport because we have been paying $22 just for cocktails ? which adds up quickly. The food isn’t the best but it’s a party of 2 adults and 1 child and we spending $100-200 each meal. Very few here really speak English so that’s another challenge. You have option between bungalow rooms or regular rooms but the bungalow rooms are more expensive. Staff here are friendly. When booking they offer AAA discount for members. There’s a boat transfer ride with a fee with you have to go to the BIG ISLAND. I suggest you experience all the other islands not just bora bora. Also the time is 6hours behind east coast time so that’s something your body have to adjust to also! There’s a lot of water activities to do. We flew with AirTahiti the flight was long but once you arrive on the island and see how beautiful it is you’ll be satisfied. If you need help booking please contact me at addictedtotravel@yahoo.com

Bora Bora is absolutely gorgeous! You can literally see through the water to the bottom of the ocean and swim out for miles. My favorite experience was swimming with wild sharks and sting rays. It was surprising how friendly the sharks were they can swim in very shallow water the benefit is you can see them coming from a mile away because the water is just that clear. I would highly recommend snorkeling and hiking the mountains as well especially if you’re there for a long period of time. It is not the place to go if you are looking to party and enjoy nightlife. The island is very quiet so if you’re a party animal and if you’re a foodie like me looking for delicious cuisine its not the place for you. It’s definitely a great place for couples who just want to relax and celebrate a special occasion whether it’s your honey moon or an anniversary. In all the people of the island are very courteous and welcoming.

Bora Bora was the absolute most beautiful place I have ever been/seen! Everything was perfect. The only thing I would recommend staying at a resort where they offer all inclusive. That can be pricey but you would be avoiding the daily travel by water taxi to the mainland each day which cost about $30.00 usd each way. Each resort has it’s own restaurants but many suggest that you try the restaurants on the mainland. They run about $50.00 usd per person. I recommend the Le’meridian as a resort option. Everything was perfect. Food, fun and atmosphere. You have to leave the resorts for best excursions. I suggest doing two or more in a day to avoid the back and forth water taxi cost each day. The glass floor bungalows are more expensive but not a must each day. You can stay one day for the experience and get a regular room/bungalow the other days. I recommend finding flight and hotel at the same time to manage cost. Do not get one and attempt to do other later. Both flight or hotel price can really inflate when you least expect
