Grand Timber Lodge is an older lodge with spa amenities, door to door shuttle service, several pools and spas as well as private screening rooms and arcades. Not an easy place to get into but worth the price as it less expensive than a lot of places around and includes parking as well, which is a great deal in Breckinridge. I recommend not choosing this place if you are needing wheelchair accessible facilities. The front desk and concierge are very helpful and communicative. The sauna was down when I was there but all other facilities were in good condition and open during posted hours. I went with my husband during the Ice Sculpture competition which is said to be a very busy time. I recommend you book your stay more than two weeks in advance and check in at least fifteen minutes before 4pm to get the highly coveted parking. There was no room service but restaurants are nearby and most accommodations are kitchen equipped. The lobby store has a good variety of snacks and drinks. You should bring your own water as Breckenridge no longer sells large plastic containers of water. They do have 12 oz aluminum cans of water for sale in the lobby store. Breckenridge has banned the sale all plastic containers under one gallon. In general, everyone is happy and nice there. There are many good places with great service and that’s a reason I will come back for more vacation time in the future. I recommend this place for mixed families and black travelers.
