My experience in Norway was what made me open to European countries. Everyone was generally nice. I didn’t feel out of place or unsafe. People mostly minded their business. There definitely weren’t very many people of color especially the further away from major cities. I stayed at Sorrisniva which was gorgeous! It was great for seeing the northern lights. They did a special wake up call and had an app to help you track it. There were hiking trails that were great on the property with amazing views. The food at the restaurant on site was delicious but small portions and a bit expensive. As a whole Norway was a bit more expensive but maybe that’s customary for European countries again I had mostly steered clear until this. It was hard to get around outside of uber or taxis because I was in the outskirts but this was the best location to see the northern lights according to research I’d done. This was a restorative solo trip so I didn’t go on many adventures.
