Honduras is a great place to visit. We didn’t have any negative experiences while in Honduras. We left the tourist traps of Mahogany Bay and ventured up into the mountainous region. The food, sights and people were amazing. I was able to see how they made the authentic “roasted” Honduran Batana oil which I like better than the African version. The regions we visited had plenty of law enforcement to protect the locals and visitors. We didn’t venture out at night so keep that in mind. The pricing of food was good. The prices of souvenirs and handmade products (skincare, shampoo, oils, etc.) varied from town to town. We had no issues with using local taxi drivers for tours and excursions.
