Black travelers: use caution here.
I stopped at Lucky Stop in Crossville, Tennessee, at 12055 US-70N because I urgently needed a restroom. During my visit, I found the staff noticeably less warm toward me than they appeared to be toward white customers.
More concerning, the men’s restroom had disturbing pro-Hitler messages/graffiti. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this stop to Black travelers unless absolutely necessary.
We stopped at the Crossville, TN Buc-ee’s (I-40, exit 320) for one reason: clean restrooms. The workers were not rude, but they were not friendly.
