I live in Erie, PA for school. So far, I haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary. I would say it is a bit average, but everyone here is kind and nice to people of color, and the most I’ve seen is just folks being quiet around black people, but there have been no direct micro aggressions, at least in the areas I’ve been around. I do mostly keep to myself, especially in public (when I’m going shopping and whatnot) but even random people I’ve asked for directions seem nice enough. I would still say to keep a wary eye though, you can never be too careful.
