Stopped here as a truck driver of course initially the first thing I noticed is it was a mostly white town. I did see one mixed girl in the restaurant I went to, but everyone else was white. I got a few stairs, but that’s somewhat of a smaller town so I figure that would happen Especially with everything going on surrounding the Austin/karmelo situation in 2026, there’s bound to be tension almost anywhere, but besides the few stairs here and there which didn’t bother me, I really didn’t feel anything unsettling and nothing bothered me there I was going to bunk there for the night until I did some research and learned historically this town is a sundown town and in 2020 racist towns people flew confederate flags in their yard and when the mayor of the town demanded that they take the flags down someone put a toilet in the front yard and wrote the mayors name in it with a Confederate flag on top, after reading this i left bc i dont take chances me & racism dont mix. I wouldn’t recommend anyone black stay here & if you absolutely have to BE CAREFUL, BE VIGILANT & STAY LOWKEY.
