My Husband and I spent our honeymoon in Bali, but am so grateful we made 3 days to spend in Lombok! The most relaxing and beautiful experience there! If you are traveling to Lombok, you MUST stay at The Katamaran! I stayed in the Premiere Club (King) room. The room is SPOTLESS and the view is AMAZING. It’s panoramic glass, sitting right on the beach, with a view of the ocean. It was probably the best sleep I got! The sound of the ocean waves crashing into the beach was so tranquil.
My favorite food there is there casual dining restaurant. Surprisingly they have delicious nachos! The pool was also amazing. I really love this place. It’s also a great place to stay to be fairly close to the Gili Islands. Our tour guide took us on a short boat ride to Gili Air & Gili T. We also went snorkeling. It was beautiful!
Bali, of course is beautiful, but also much more populated with tourists. Lombok is a beautiful, quiet, memorable get away!
When i was in Lombok, I visited the gili islands and absolutely loved it. Gili trawangan, Gili air & Gili meno. Gili air is by far my favourite, these islands are motor-free which I enjoyed getting around on a bicycle which was given to us by the villa to get around the island. If you are looking for a party island you must visit Gili trawangan, there’s something going on every night. If you choose to visit these islands you should definitely try snorkelling, diving or sea walking. I went snorkelling and had an amazing experience seeing the different types of fishes & under water turtles.
