I grew up in Madison but live in Alabama. My husband and I always state at the Embassy Suites in Madison/Ridgeland. It is always accommodating, friendly, and very nice. They feature items in the gift shop from Jackson State University (HBCU). Not sure if it is black owned but it is definitely black friendly. There are museums within about 20 miles as well.
