I enjoyed the mess outta of Louisiana. We stayed at the Virgin Hotel in the French Quarter. After making a historical trip more of a family destination. We got to see the location of Plessy versus Ferguson train incident. Ruby Bridges Elementary school. Go to The Vu New Orleans (where you are thrown into a virtual tour of the city). Do a self made photo shoot at Jamnola (a photo spot for selfies). Do a family ghost tour of the French Quarter. See how the floats are made for the annual Mardi Gras at the Mardi Gras Museum. Do a swamp tour of the gators and wild life. And finally go to a museum on historical southern cooking, eventually getting to try our hands at making the iconic dishes learned about. Every day, going to new restaurants and eat decadent cuisine. My mother and I came alone for the first three days and my brother, sister and law, and their two children joined us later. Everyone from elders to the youngest enjoyed their stay. The family split off and half went to shop on the riverfront, while the others went to the Jazz Museum. Do watch shows and Tik Toks about places you want to want to eat at before you go. Make reservations for parties 3 or more. And always know where you are going, if it’s sketchy, go where the tourist go.
