This is review 5 of 7 in a group of writings I call, “Outside the Sunshine State, a
Californian’s perspective of the US” . These cities I have all visited and some I
even spent a few years in. The reviews are from my perspective as an outsider
coming into a new place. As with all of my reviews I hope they help someone on
their travels, now, without further delay, let’s get started. This place is where
close family lives so I have visited more frequently than Nashville. Omaha is very
pleasant and again I have had no issues with the locals. Plus side is that the
California Zephar runs through there to Chicago so if you need to get to either destination, consider taking the scenic train route. Once on it, look out the train
window and behold the wonderful world of CORN!! LOL ( there is a lot of corn there
lol). OH, and another interesting fact for any history buffs; Omaha was a stop on the underground railroad! There is even a place you can visit in Omaha (that is now a museum) where run away slaves would hide during their journey to The North!
