Saint Anne, Illinois

Lived in this town briefly (3/4 months)with my ex husband. His hill billy mother wanted us closer to him at time. This town doesn’t have any black people and I had a few issues while living there. Mind you I’m a black woman and my ex was a white man. Overall the town has some affordable housing but it’s tiny literally with a population under 1,000 I believe. The police will sit any and everywhere waiting for somebody not from the town to come in the main and back roads areas of the town. Speed limit is only like 30 and less through there so don’t dare go over by even 1-2 miles because they will pull you over and they will be ignorant. The town is majority older white people with a pinch of families.
