Tobago is the perfect place if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Trinidad. If you like beautiful beaches and lush greenery, Tobago will give you the best of both worlds. Tobago is a small island that does have maxi taxi’s to take you around but I would definitely get a car to drive around Tobago so that you can make the most out of your trip. Be sure to go try some conch at Store Bay and walk to the local shops and get some delicious roti, pelau or some stew fish or chicken. At Store Bay, I highly recommend that you book a glass bottom boat tour to Bucco Reef and Nylon Pool. Nylon Pool is amazing because you literally get to stand in the middle of the ocean. Also the boat tour there is a bumpy yet beautiful ride filled with good music and just a good boat party. The water is also crystal clean on sunny days so as you head to Nylon Pool you get a good glimpse of some fish.

Tobago is definitely a must see place if you want to chill out, relax and escape the city.

Tobago, was absolutely beautiful. In contrast to Trinidad it’s very laid back, with outstanding views. You can fly or take a ferry to reach Tobago. We decided to take the 3 hour ferry ride from Trinidad to take in more views of the island from the water. I was suggest ferry too, because seeing the sunset on the water was absolutely breath taking. Our air bnb was in the hills of the island, with an infinity pool over looking Tobago. Nothing beats waking up to a great view everyday. I went in August, if you go around that time be prepared for the heat. Overall Tobago is very quiet, which makes a great place to just relax.

Tobago is beautiful, and the water is so clear. It’s been years since I went, but if you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation and great food– I highly recommend!

Tobago is a very small island but it’s very rich in culture and the people are amazing. The local food is great and the beaches are breathtaking.

The beach I went to is called pigeon point beach located in Crown Point. The entry fee is $20ttd and there you can catch the glass bottom boat and do fun water activities. Things on the island are reasonably cheap. I stayed at mt Irvine bay resort. Some of the crystal clear water beaches are Englishman’s bay, store bay and bloody bay.

In Tobago, you MUST have curry crab and dumplings on the beach. It’s at the top of my list whenever I go, My first time having it I enjoyed it so much, I licked the spicy juices that ran down to my elbow.

In my opinion, Tobago is super quiet. If you’re not coming during a peak time (i.e., right after Carnival) I would say don’t expect too much adventure. A must do in Tobago is going to Nylon Pool. Other than that, Tobago seemed like a place to just unwind and relax.
