I have traveled to Yosemite with my family since I was a child. The park has a lot of beautiful trails, waterfalls, beautiful mountains, and a museum with lots of history and information. You do need a reservation to get into the park. This system was implemented during COVID, and is still running. You can visit https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/reservations.htm for more info. The Mountain Room is a beautiful restaurant with gourmet style meals. They are open for lunch and dinner. I recommend the open-air tram tour. It takes you through the park and is very educational. There are free trams that get you where you want to go. I usually take a car to get around, and there are lots of places to park. The park rangers and tourists are very nice. If you want to lodge outside of Yosemite, I recommend Yosemite View Lodge. They have a lot of amenities and is family friendly. Driving through Mariposa is nice, but I noticed a few trump bumper stickers., and a trump flag. I mostly stop there on the way to or from the park for gas or a snack at the gas station, but then I leave. Other than that, I enjoy my stay at Yosemite National Park.
