OK, so my trip to Germany was really fun but I went with a different lens and a different situation. I just go as a visitor I went on like a guided tour if that makes sense cause my fiancé and his family is from Germany so it was a bit of a different experience. It was an experience of a day of the life versus I’m just a visitor. I guess if that makes sense just to put a perspective with that being said there was a lot of things that we were able to do. They have a museum that Puts you through all the different climate of the entire world. It’s called the Clema house. It’s right on the water and it’s really cool experience their zoo really cool as well. You could actually go in with the penguins and like interact with them super cool. There is a lot of dark history there yes but they address it and acknowledge it unlike here and They have a museum to honor immigrants and their journey and to make it so that they acknowledge what they did was wrong and how it affected people both in their own country as well as other countries which I found very refreshing bakeries were amazing. Food was very fresh very good. There is a bit of staring that happens, but it’s not usually in a you don’t belong here it’s usually in a I’m curious and I wanna ask questions but they don’t always ask questions so they’re very watchful people and it’s not just cause I was black. It’s not just cause I was wearing my Afro out because I would see them also like be very watchful with the youth the elderly you know so it’s it’s just kind of part of their thing they like to people watch. I am not very fluent in German when they were very patient with me so that was really awesome. It was overall a good experience. A great experience. I would definitely suggest going to the clima house if you get the chance to. It’s in northern Germany in Bremehaven. I don’t have a good idea of hotel stays personally because we stayed with family, but I will say we stopped in a hotel to use the restroom real quick and it was really nice so that’s another food for that. I mean it’s not a hotel stay experience, but it was nice. It was clean. It was spacious. But it also kind of just been that it’s on the coastline so it needs to have a lot of people again didn’t see the rooms so. What I will say on top of that is that Germany is very much a place where most people will speak up if there’s something wrong going on like nobody’s even allowed to speak positively about their dark history if they are speaking in a reminiscent way, I’m hoping that it returns. They are arrested so there’s none of that. at least not in the area that I was in. Which was northern Germany, Bremerhaven, Bremen, and Loxstedt
PS I don’t know what happened to all my photos of the trip I could’ve sworn I still had them on my phone, but I guess not so I’ll have to look into that and add to the post later if possible 🤞
