A Little About Me:
Athlete/Traveler/Foodie
Overall experience in Paris was ok.. There is a large presence of people from africa in paris and alot of them know french.. In my experience not knowing french made people treat me different.. even the the other people of color. They immediately get annoyed with you or with trying to explain things even though they know you are a tourist.. TIP: If you do not know french try to touch up on some basic words an phrases before you get there.. or have a translator ready (google translate app is what I use).. Clubs are fun but bartenders were rude to me when they realized i didnt know french an they had to find someone else to translate to me I went to Le Hobo they played cool french hiphop music, reggae and afrobeats.. restaurant waitors were a little friendler but have a natural snotty-ness to them.. another tip is it is good to have Euros in hand alot of the little activites like going to the catacombs or entering the eiffel tower take cash ??
Took this trip as a party trip. Stayed at the aloft hotel($90 a night) aloft had hotel parties as well as bars you can go to. Downtown is 10 mins walk from the hotel to save money.. there are many clubs to go to the one i went to the most was called coco bongo.. fun, cheap drinks and nice hispanic music and a few american songs would get prinkled.. one thing to not is that they charge americans a different price than the locals for club entry.. most places were 10 pesos for residence and $35 for americans or europeans.. Tip number one better to not travel alone at night alot of ppl are drinking any you never know what csn happen tip number two keep some type of translator with you i like the google translate app if you do not know spanish.. mostly everyone speaks Spanish.. but i had a great time didnt run into any problems
Very affordable, was able to get a nice pyramid view hotel for $50(Hotel is the Hayat hotel in giza) a night which was split between me and a travel partner. Almost everything you want to buy from the street markets or activities you want to do can be negotiable.start low and try to bargin! Another tip: Uber is better than renting a car. A 43 min ride from the airport to Giza(Pyramid area) is about 160 Egyptian pounds(around $9).. rides around the city would probably cost like $1 or 2 per ride.. Enjoyed my time there!
