The Hyatt regency Phuket resort had a very good ambiance. Excellent staff and always helpful. Will go extra mile to help you. Room was very clean. The only thing they are missing is floating breakfast, which we wanted to enjoy. Otherwise excellent choice to stay and relax. Spa is awesome too and we spent roughly under $1000 for a 7 night stay our room came with a swimming pool which was very pleasant.

Visiting or staying in the Medina is like going back in time. You will share the streets together with people, donkeys, horses, cars, buses and salesmen. It´s not a place you can do in a day. Just to walk there is an experience and every day has a new one.

Food and drinks were awesome on the Island. Seeing the flamingos was awesome, they will eat out of your hand. Flamingo beach is adults only which I loved, but the do allow kids between 9 and 10 am for photos and feeding the flamingos. The nature walk was awesome, keep an eye out for hermit crabs, lizards, and of course birds. The iguanas were awesome, but aggressive if you leave food around. My experiences with the flamingo foo. All the birds will eat it. the little black birds will try to catch it out of the air. If you throw some in the water near the dispenser many fish will come out and eat it too. The water is crystal clear, the beach is clean. You can get towels and rafts and snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards from the hut on the iguana side of the island. Arrive early for choice of beach chairs, although the staff can help you source some, or move some if you need.
