I just returned from a 10 day trip to Dakar last week! I am Gambian but for some reason, everytime i go to Dakar was for transit never for holiday. But this time i stayed longer. ONE THING AS A SENEGAMBIAN ---- THE FOOOOOOD! I have been to 23 countries and hands down our food is the best! ANYWHERE you get it. any restaurant. I visited Ile de Ngor - which is an island in Dakar that you have to pay 3€ to get in a canoe and crossover (it takes 5mins) I recommend visiting the 2nd Island - there is a restaurant ran by "Ebrima" and some other boys that is incredible! we spent both Saturdays in Dakar there. very nice ambiance and great food. There are a lot of beaches in Dakar with local bars - do not hesistate to try them! they are actually very relaxing for a sunset drink or two. Other places i can recommend are - Bazoff Restaurant - Lagon 1 Restaurant (designed as an old wrecked ship) - Terrou Bi for Sunday brunch ( it is 50€ for unlimited brunch alcohol included - you can ask for as many bottles as you can drink and also have access to swim in the pool or beach). It is ok to use Taxi but you have to be smart and start with the lowest 1000CFA there are so many taxis in Dakar they end up settling and accepting any offer unless it is late at night. I am happy to answer any more questions regarding this beautiful city. you can reply to this comment or write to me on instagram @haddymax :)

I had the opportunity to live in Nairobi, Kenya for two years. What i can say is there is PLENTY to do. Nairobi offers and caters to every budget. This is one thing i love about the city. You can have high end places to visit as well as incredible low budget. There's not much "safari" in Nairobi itself however and one must go out of the city. It is a very busy city therefore very low relaxation. 1. Food - Dusit "soi" --- Brew Bistro Westlands Brunch --- Artcaffe any of them --- J's Kitchen Westlands 2. Always stay in Westland area - far from the airport but closest to everything 3. Local african food - Contrary to trip advisor as a West African i can give credible recommendation to visit "The Manor 540" and order the grilled full fish - it will be the highlight of your holiday. 4. Nightlife - I liked B club and BrewBistro Westlands - both chic and have great music. I really like Bacchas which is outside BrewBistro (theres actually many clubs on that street) however it is considered low budget - it plays the best rnb hiphop dancehall. 5. Adventure - people always rush to visit the national park - i definitely do not recommend it if you are short in time. waste of time because you will barely see much. i would recommend the giraffe center -- The forest for ziplining -- hells gate -- I would recommend visiting Nairobi October - February when the weather is nice and warmer compared the "Kenyan winter". Again -- I am very open to questions - please do not hesitate to reply to this post or message me on my instagram @haddymax :)

I had to visit Seychelles from being so overhyped in the media. I visited in May. This is not a recommended time to go to Seychelles - it was very hot and rained all the time. I visited Mahe Island - Praslin Island and La Digue. These are the most popular islands however there are many more. In Mahe, i would definitely recommend Broadwalk - Stayed on Eden Island (a man-made island) and broadwalk was there. I recommend staying here however it is slightly pricey. In La Digue I definitely recommend Chez Kaz - he has lovely tree houses and gives you bicycles to ride around the entire island within 1hour. (you get to keep the bikes for your entire stay) I would HIGHLY recommend that you take air Seychelles flight if you would like to island hop rather than the boat. it is cheaper and you would not get seasick. Food - MUST GO to "Marie Antoinette" - Local Creole food - THE BEST PLACE I ATE IN ALL HOLIDAY. Overall, Seychelles is a VERY expensive country but i guess it is one that should be crossed off the bucket list. (If you would like to know more you can always send me a message on Instagram @haddymax :) )
