    WhereToStay

I stayed at the Princess Barcelona when I visited this beautiful city. The hotel is right over a mall with all the stores you would want during travel. H&M, Pull and Bear, and a PRIMARK for cheap last min items you forgot for your vacation. It is located near two beaches with drink and food services. The train station is only a 5 min walk away. The hop on hop off tour bus stop is literally out of the side door of the hotel. It stops at all the sites to see throughout Barcelona. The hotel has a rooftop pool and lower level pool as well. The staff were very helpful and assisted with any questions I had about travel. There are two local food restaurants across the street for a quick bite to eat before heading out for the day. I had a great experience. Oh and it was about 200 euro a night to stay there. Well worth the convenience and security.

So the key to this trip is traveling as a group! This island is known as “Little Ibiza” so if you want romantic go to Santorini. I went with a group of 8 and we stayed in a Villa in Elia beach. The views from the top of the hill where the houses are is amazing. After splitting the costs it came to about 70 euro per night per person. Not bad at all when your group is that large. There was plenty of space for 8 but not a lot of privacy so keep that in mind. We rented two ATVs while we were there to get around. The ATVs were 80 euro for two days, which we split amongst 8 people as well. We definitely used them a lot and got our money’s worth. We had a really good time and didn’t break the bank on this trip, but the key is traveling with a decent size group to split the costs.

Venice was a beautiful city but a day or two is all you need. There is a lot of walking envolvedso make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The water taxis are pretty expensive so plan accordingly. You have to see the city from both the bridges and over passes and from the water. The restaurants offer a romantic feel. A lot of them overlook the waterways. There is a shopping plaza with a Nike store and other shops. The train station is in the center of the city. I would recommend taking the train through Italy period but definitely to Venice.
