The Eiffel Tower twinkling at midnight is still my fondest memory of Paris. I know there is so much hype surrounding this city, but it is definitely worth a conversation. The museums, including the Louvre obviously, are some of the most popular in the world. The architecture is charming, it's diverse, and it has something for everyone. Each neighborhood possessed something different so it was extremely hard to get bored. From the Moulin Rouge to Notre-Dame Cathedral, there are countless sights to see! My friend and I pushed back our stay 3 days because we weren't ready to leave. It felt like home. I want you to visit there at least once to see what the hype is all about. And try some french pastries while you're there. :-)

If you want to have a nice wholesome vacation filled with museums and sightseeing, don't go here lol. Go to Ibiza if you want to party until 7am, sleep for 3 hours to start getting ready for the next day party. Simple put, if Vegas were an island, this would be it. I stayed in San Antonio which had quite a few popular clubs in the area and seemed pretty central to things. Although I would say the most expensive part of my vacation were the taxi rides. No matter where you stay, you'll have to eventually take a taxi because things are somewhat spread out. The crowds were fun with lots of great energy, abs were on display, and everyone was there to have a good time. Ibiza is literally a 30-40min flight from Barcelona so it's a no-brainer. You have to experience the madness at least once!

The food here was so yummy! The wine here was to die for. The end. lol. I literally would've been happy just eating and drinking wine everyday but in all seriousness, it's a city full of so much life. It's extremely modernized with tons to do. My friends and I took a tour to the surrounding cities of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso, which were great add-ons to our experience. On the way back, we stopped at a winery, Vina Indomita which I would also recommend! Something we really enjoyed in Santiago was our trek to San Cristobal Hill. We rode up on the funicular de Santiago and hiked down, only to see the most beautiful sunset I've every seen in my life. It was easily the highlight of my trip. There is plenty to do with something for everyone!

London is such a colorful city. I've put off visiting London for so long and I'm upset that I did. It had the energy of NYC, but it was clean like Chicago :-P There was so much to do. Oxford and Carnaby Street were great for shopping. Notting Hill was the cutest neighborhood ever and worth a visit. For nightlife, I would STRONGLY recommend making reservations. There were several places we couldn't get into because of that reason alone. They also do a last entry at least an hour before the clubs end so don't start your night at 1am like we did smh. Also, if you're hungry after the club, Chinatown! It's literally the afterparty. If you think London is overrated, don't let that stop you. Cities like London, Paris, New York, etc. have so much hype surrounding them because they are special. Just give it a few days. Go by Buckingham Palace, watch the Changing of the Guard, eat some fish & chips, say hi to my sis Meghan. I promise you'll find something charming about the city!

Listen, when I returned from Portugal, I looked up jobs there for about 2 weeks. I fell in love with this city! It reminded of San Francisco from the street cars to the infamous red bridge (that was designed by the same architect as the San Fran- Oakland bridge). The city is filled with hills, so wear your sneakers. There are several great vantage points as well. For nightlife, the pink street had plenty bars and clubs. I'd also recommend the Panorama restaurant for great views, food, and wine. Overall, the city felt safe and there was plenty to do, so I believe Portugal would make for a nice solo or group trip. Bonus : if you know a little Portuguese, you'll go far! ♥

Italy is one of the most amazing countries I've ever been to. Rome was the 1st city I visited not only in Italy, but in Europe and to this day it holds a special place in my heart. The history is overwhelming and what's so amazing is the amount of monuments still standing to this day. The Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the old cathedrals, everything here is a sight to see. Every stone has a story. The food and wine were to die for. I'd highly recommend shopping at the Spanish Steps and visiting the Trevi Fountain after a long day. It is my favorite place in the entire world! I wandered away from my group several nights and would just sit here. If you don't do anything else, take a trip there. Be mindful of gypsies and tourists traps, they're everywhere! All in all, if you like history, Roma is the place for you. And while you're here, shoot over to the smallest country in the world, Vatican City. ♥

Prague is such a beautiful city! The castles are majestic, history runs deep, and it's such an easy city to navigate. Old town and new town are literally blocks away from each other which is where everything is (outside of the Prague Castle). One of the highlights of my visit was viewing a concert hall which happened to be the only functional hall still standing where Mozart played when he was alive. I did a free walking tour by Sandeman's New Prague tours which I would highly recommend.. just tip the guide. However I would not recommend the boat tour promoted by them. The river though is such a beautiful sight. Walking by the river is an absolute must and picture op! All in all, it's a great city, everything stays open very late, and it's something for everyone.

One of the highlights of my short stay in Istanbul was the infamous Turkish bath. We went to Cemberlitas Hamami which was open until midnight and no appointment was needed. It was 55 euros for the bath entrance, a bubble bath (in which they bathe you) and a 30 minute massage. It was heaven! It was so relaxing & calming. Be prepared to get wet head to toe and ladies be prepared to be topless with tens of women in the room. If you're with bad, kiss him or her goodbye because the separate you guys at the door. All in all, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend any of the baths there.

The beaches here were niiiiice! The locals were beyond friendly. They were so chill, hospitable, helpful, and took my friend and I in with open arms. Nothing was overly priced, the weather was perfect and every night I found myself on a hammock vibing with the locals, who I still keep in touch with because they're that dope. If you're looking to relax, I would definitely recommend this beautiful island. It was such a great place to visit, I felt right at home. Oh, and for a great late snack, try Chefette! :)

It was so green & beautiful! This trip I planned less than 3 hrs before I arrived so I didn't have anything set up. I wandered the streets of Dublin and was pleasantly surprised. Ireland, by far has the nicest people in Europe. Everyone was so friendly! My Airbnb host went out with me, but if he had not I still would've felt totally safe. I did a tour to Giant's Causeway. It was at least a 2 hour drive outside of Dublin but it was such a beautiful ride. We ended up in Northern Ireland which is actual apart of the UK so it was cool to finally see the red telephone booth lol. I would recommend that tour as well as the Cliffs of Moher. In Dublin, there were bars galore! Jameson and Guinness are manufactured there, so those are other cool options. Overall, I enjoyed the city and would recommend it to all sorts of travelers, especially people traveling solo for the first time.

What an experience. The grounds here were breathtaking. Even though I'm not catholic, I appreciated all of the beauty and history within the walls of the smallest country on Earth. St. Peter's Basilica... WOW. The detail is out of this world and if you look up you'll see that you're able to walk alongside the ceiling. I know that may sound confusing but it's true! And please go ALL the way to the top of the church where you can see the most epic view of the city. I will admit it was a tough hike though. If you have heart issues, claustrophobic, or simply out of shape please do yourself a favor and take the elevator up halfway. At some points if you're out of breath and can't move, the stairways are so slanted and slim, you'd block traffic behind you. And did you know all of the popes are on display in the basement! That is a must-see along with Peter's tomb and the Sistine Chapel. Overall, I enjoyed my day trip to Vatican City. If you're in Rome, please take a day. It's well worth it.

Disclaimer : I only had one day in Hong Kong and I didn't plan much for my stay but I thought it was a cool city! I stayed in a hostel where our sleeping quarters were individual capsules.. coolest thing ever. The highlight of my stay here was Victoria's Peak. The views were simply breathtaking. If you do nothing else in Hong Kong, please do this! It didn't cost much but the lines were long so be prepared for a little wait. It was very easy to get around.. in my 24 hours there I used the bus, shuttle, train, taxi, uber, and a ferry. It's safe to say I got around HK lol. The ferry was to Tsim Sha Tsui. Near the port were tons of restaurants, a very nice mall, and when you look across the water there's Hong Kong's skyline! They have a light show at night that was pretty cool. I was alone and I felt very safe. I have nothing bad to say about this city!

Iceland was such a cool experience, no pun intended. I went with a group of 30 strangers turned friends and we had a blast. There was so much to do! The highlight of my trip was easily the Blue Lagoon. We went before sunrise so we could catch that moment and it was well worth it. Some of our crew did the snowmobile tour but I opted for the Golden Circle Tour which included several geysers, waterfalls, and a tectonic plate above the ground. I believe this to be the most visited tour/route amongst tourists. And of course no trip to Iceland would be complete without the Northern Lights. We did the tour but unfortunately they didn't come out for us which only means one thing... I have to go back! I'd definitely recommend a visit here, but save your coins because it's one of the most expensive places I've ever visited. Pack some snacks, you'll thank me later.

Phuket is very touristy, but if you're there to be out and about, it works. I stayed in Patong, which is the most populated area in the city. It's filled with tons of restaurants, stores, massage parlors/nail shops, and various markets. The beach here is very crowded as well so if you like more of a private scene, this isn't for you. I actually visited Nai Thon Beach which is less crowded but still beautiful, obviously with less to do in the area. Now back to Patong.. the nightlife is pretty exciting. They have a street called Bangla Road, which I would compare to Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It really comes alive at night! I was actually by myself for this leg of my journey and was meeting some new friends on Bangla Road. So for any solo travelers, I felt very safe and found it very easy to make new friends. One friend even came with me to the Phi Phi Islands, which was only a 2 hour ferry ride away ($10-30). All in all, Phuket was a good time and I would most certainly return. Xo, Jeli

Chiang Mai is a gem. Temples galore. Street food in abundance. It is Thailand's best kept secret. Many of the temples were in walking distance of each other and accessible to foreigners even when the monks were gathering. It was a pretty cool experience. We made our way by foot and a scooter that we rented for 250 baht (or $8usd) for a 24 hr period. I also found my way to the Elephant Jungle Sanctury (#4) that I would recommend to everyone! The elephants were so friendly and just wanted to be loved ♥️ and fed, a lot lol. It proved to be the highlight of my trip. All in all, no trip to Thailand would be complete without a stop in Chiang Mai.

There is so much going on in Amsterdam! I was here for a weekend and wish I had more time. The highlights of my trip were the Van Gogh Museuem and the Anne Frank House. There were tons of canal tours, the Ice Bar was cool, cafes (if that's your thing), nice shopping areas, and you can't forget about the Red Light District! It was definitely a place you can't write home to mom about, unless mom is CoolAF. It was easy getting around as well. It's definitely a biking city so many of the hotels and hostels provided them and the train was also very easy to use. All in all, I had a great time exploring Amsterdam and would return!

Landing in Egypt was just like landing onto a page in your history book from grade school. It was surreal! Of all the places I've been, Egypt has been the most fulfilling. To see pyramids built thousands of years ago still standing and to even go inside was amazing. The Egyptian Museum was pretty cool too as it housed many mummies including those of Egypt's past Kings and Pharaohs. Every where you turned was something embedded with so much History. I stayed at the Sofitel located along the Nile River, so merely walking onto my balcony every morning, there was history all around me. I'd recommend Egypt to any and everyone. I did feel safe but I also understand why some would have their reservations. Regardless, I hope that everyone can go at least once in their lifetime.
