Favela Brothers Tours is something that I recommend when traveling to Rio. Of course you have that beautiful sandy beaches and Ipanema. But you have to visit Rochina to learn about community. Now please listen to your guide, these are people’s homes. Do not be disrespectful & when they say no pictures BELIEVE them. Rio has a rep of being dangerous & There is danger everywhere, so don’t go places starting stuff. Respect the people and take it all in. Like Cole said, there’s beauty in the struggle. When you leave Rochina (this only applies to if you’re staying by Ipanema beach) when you see those twinkle lights in the mountains that is Ipanema. It’s so beautiful at sunset.
