A Little About Me:
Most of travel comes from my work as an technology enterprise architect. But I believe strongly in play as well as work so every big trip I make sure I get some sightseeing done.
Cancun is exactly what you’ve heard that it is a party place but if you want to chill out you can have that too. It really is a fun place with a lot of water sports. The shopping is is OK but no museums, no cultural things to visit. I would say if you want fun, sun and water this is the place for you!
it’s okay, I would not go out of my way to visit Ontario but if your job or you just want to go do something go check it out but I would not consider it a must see place if you are well traveled.
Let me start by saying that this is my favorite European city. I have been more times than I can count and I have loved every moment! The food is amazing, shopping, museums, nightlife are all just amazing. If you travel and not been to Paris you are cheating yourself!
Outside of the historical significance of London, I found it to be very boring. There was absolutely no African culture at all. I have light skin and I felt like I was treated better than my dark skin colleagues. It was crazy to be in a city as big and well known as London and see very little black or brown faces. I was told by the local black folk that London is just not the spot for Black people in regard to nightlife the food was horrible and uninteresting and ridiculously overpriced. I thought that the sightseeing was amazing because where else are you going to see Big Ben, Buckingham palace, museums, etc. but outside of those things I thought it was terribly boring.
I actually lived here for two years. I find it to be a very interesting city from a historical standpoint I can’t see outside of visiting castles, museums and parks it is not really a tourism mecca thing and would be a good fit for most travelers. I would think Germany is a two or three quick trip combining with someplace else... If you like England you will love Germany even better. Plenty of pubs and their culture of drinking and partying is second to none for Europe.
I personally did not like Amsterdam it was okay the first two or three days after all the tourist stuff was out of the way the red light District, Coffee Shops, Heineken, museums, windmills, tulips or just walking around it was nice to see something new. I am a bit of a party person and I found the nightlife to just be very blah to boring. It was not a swanky place at all... It was very plain in every aspect.
Let me start by saying that Costa Rica is the most beautiful country I have ever visited. Where do I start the food was amazing we stayed in the Capital at the Marriott hotel and it was amazing. The local cuisine was inexpensive but delicious. I just love their traditional dish of black beans, rice with a fried egg and your choice of protein. I ate this every day just changing between proteins and fish. As far as adventure this country has everything zip lines, volcanoes, beaches, waterfalls and more it was just amazing!
Cape Town has so much to offer. I stayed ay 15 on Orange Hotel (Marriott) it was a super sexy hotel. It was in a great area it was adjacent to the infamous Long Street with the great bars and nightclubs so we had a great time at dusk. The city tour was very interesting and the. Table Mountain Tour was breathtaking. The waterfront had so many great restaurants and shops. The The Robbin Island Tour is a must. I really liked the drive to Cape Point. I went on a Caged Shark Dive and it did not live up to the hype so I would save money and just watch Shark Week on Discovery Channel.
I actually had a business trip to Nairobi and thought it would be a good idea for some rest and relaxation to head to Mombasa. My round-trip ticket from Nairobi was only about $100 (US) and I stayed at the Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa. I have to say that it took a very long time to get there keep in mind when you are headed to tourist area from the airport the traffic is horrible. A ride that would normally take maybe 30 minutes can double or triple depending on what’s going on with traffic and road stops from the police. They were constructing a bridge to fix this problem (Mar 2020). I think that Mombasa is a relatively safe area but I must admit that I was a little leery at night going out too far from the resort not because of anything specific but just the poor lighting and standing out as a tourist Diani Beach was absolutely beautiful. The water was warm and calm the sand was white and felt like talcum powder it was just gorgeous. I booked my hotel on hotels.com which was substantially cheaper than the hotels website there were not many “fancy” restaurants outside the resort but very good mom & pop dining. There were plenty of convenience stores. I can definitely recommend Mombasa and skip Nairobi altogether!
