Dubai, UAE is in my top five destinations and very friendly to African Americans. Respect their culture and you won’t have any problems.
Stay in the city center to save money.
If your budget allows stay in either Jumeirah Beach or Palm Island.
My next visit I will stay on Palm Island but having stayed in the city and beachfront, I loved the beachfront. The Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Hotel was in a great location for walking out the door to food, shopping, and entertainment.
First time visitors recommendations: Dubai Mall, dinner at a restaurant with a fountain view, traditional Dhow dinner cruise, full day to Abu Dhabi, desert safari with dune bashing, and shopping at the souk market in Old Dubai.
Springdale is located approximately one hour from the St George Regional AirPort.
The area has with shops, art galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, and nearby activities such as zip lining, quad bikes, tubing, and more.
I found the locals to be friendly, the area clean, and safe. The streets are well paved, shuttle bus to get you around, and access to Zion National Park.
