A Little About Me:

I am from California now living in Georgia. I love traveling and have planned and executed all of my trips. Some of them being for 15 people. I am in the process of opening my own travel agency as I love to explore but I also love assisting others with their desire to travel as well.

    Things To Do

DO NOT!!! I REPEAT DO NOT!! Go to Spain just to go to Madrid. I went with a group and it was really limited on things we could do. The architecture was beautiful and there is no shortage of museums but Madrid really can be done in a day or two and then you can be on to Barcelona. While there we went to "Teatro Kapital" definitely recommend going to this 7 story nightclub. Every floor has it's own dj, bar and genre. You navigate by either stairs or elevator but definitely wear comfortable shoes. The food was great. The Royal Palace is BEAUTIFUL & I would recommend anyone visiting to see this. We also did a scavenger hunt where we learned the history and had to uncover clues in order to find our next monument. I would also recommend a food tour, we did this and we were able to try different staple foods. We got the food tasting for $43 from trip advisor. We also did a bar crawl with the same company we did the food tasting with and that was a lot of fun. Another thing you can do is attend a dance class. The Arabian Spa Madrid comes highly recommended! Traveling while black was rough here. A lot of staring and the customer service was not really existent. It is best to have at least one person in your group that can speak Spanish at least key words. For my group it really helped that I was able to speak the language enough to get us where we needed to be.

    Romance

Venice is all for sights! The night life is pretty much nonexistent. But it is great for a romantic getaway. The gondola's cost more if you purchase them on the spot. Look on a travel site and book it ahead of time. Make sure to have walking shoes and stay close to everything. It can be hard to navigate. If you are looking for romance and relaxation this is perfect. A lot of history, views, and beautiful achitecture. If you are looking for more I would say spend more time in Rome and you can really do Venice in one full day.

Johannesburg is a must when visiting South Africa. It was great for a safari, the Apartheid museum and food. I do not feel you need more than 2 full days here. It is full of history and site seeing but not much nightlife. The Lion & Safari park was very inexpensive and a great way to see the wildlife it is voted the best big 5 day safari. You are able to pet the lions and feed the giraffes. We also did Nelson Mandela's house in Soweto Township.

Cape Town was amazing!!!! From the site seeing to the food to the nightlife I loved everything about it. I would say spend majority of your time here as Johannesburg was not as packed with things to do. The people were friendly and it was easy to get around. Definitely traveler friendly and I would say it is fine for solo travel as well. Table Mountain and it's breath taking views cannot be skipped. Bo Kaap is colorful and historic, definitely a must-see. Coco lounge was amazing-great music and cheap bottle service. Cubana hookah and lounge was fun as well-the played hip hop and African trap music. It has cheap drinks and food. Another must is Clarke's bar and dining room brunch. Diaz Tavern had amazing steak as well as live music and dancing. Cheap food and drinks, a must! Galbi resturant is great for those into trying different meats-we ordered ostrich, warthog ribs, crocodile, several types of antelop and springbok bitong. Taboo in Sandton was a poppin club as well.
