A Little About Me:

Traveling taught me more things about myself than it did about the places I’ve traveled too. Seeing the world at large taught me that most of our problems in life are smaller than they appear. Traveling taught me to be humble and grateful and that we don’t need all the money in the world to live our best life. Traveling taught me how infinite God’s grace and love is. Best of all, traveling helped me combat mental illness.

Please do not stay more than two nights in Phuket. This city is dirty and it’s stinks. The night life overrated. Just take a ferry and forward straight to the islands. Please I beg. Oh and don’t waste your money on the ping pong show. Don’t. Save your eyes from misery and despair ?. Fun fact, you can actually visit elephant sanctuaries from other parts of Thailand other than Phuket such as Koh Samui, Chang mai and Krabi. But we did ours from Phuket wasn’t far but it was also very nice. We got to feed and bathe with the elephants but didn’t ride them because the company we chose did not allow us which I ageee with! Elephantjunglesanctuary.org great company I would only recommend Phuket if you’re going to be here during the Thai new year (Songkran Festival) and take part of their water fight festival to celebrate the new year. It was so much fun! Buy a water gun and start spraying water on people and just have fun. It was truly an amazing experience. Also yes street food is good but still not worth staying here more than two nights.

After leaving PhiPhi islands I started googling how to get Thai residency! I love phi phi islands truely and honestly. This island has such a nice vibe during the day and during the night. It’s beautiful and that’s an understatement. We stayed here at Phi Phi Harbour view hotel which I would recommend a lot! The island is breathtaking, so beautiful and the people here are extremely nice and would do and recommend things to make your trip well worth it! Make sure you do the 4 island tour by long tail boat. We did a private long tail boat tour in the early morning to avoid large crowds. It’s reallly cheap especially when you split it amongst the people you’re traveling with. You have the option of bargaining to make it cheaper which is what we did. At night just follow the music honestly. That’s where the night life is... where ever the music is playing. It’s not great music but you won’t care cuz you’ll be too busy enjoying the fire show, playing jump rope, limbo and painting on walls with fluorescent paint and taking pictures and videos with your friends wondering how one of you ended up bleeding from your knees without feeling the pain! Make sure you get a bucket! Strawberry Daiquiri my fave!! Don’t leave phi phi without having at least one Thai pancake a day! Banana Nutella (thank me later:-) ). From phi phi we also did a day trip to visit Koh Lanta another beautiful island! It is less touristy and very calm. Phi phi is another great place to go island hoping and/ or do a lot of day trips from here. If we stayed another day we would have went to Koh Yaoi. Our tour guide told us that it is the Maldives of Thailand and that its 20 minutes away from everything because it’s right at the centre. Phi phi is one of the those places where you have to go experience it yourself. Just pack and go. It lives up to the hype if not more.

I stayed in Krabi 2 nights and 3 days. It was where I started my trip in Thailand. I loved Krabi because it was clean but I honestly didn’t realize that Krabi was clean until I left and went to Phuket. Krabi is really the place to be if you want to do island hoping in southern Thailand. While I was here I went to Railay Beach which was a really nice beach (not the nicest) that can only be accessed by boat. No cars or motor bikes on this island, you’ll have to walk once you get here. You’ll notice on this island that some locals have dreadlocks and that every bar has a picture of Bob Marley and Jamaican flag and they love to play reggae tunes. While at Railay Beach I spent the morning rock climbing with a company called king climbing which I booked through my hostel. Amazing experience! It was challenging, stepped out of my comfort zone but it was great to see what my body was capable of. The second adventure I did on this island was a sunset kayaking activity. Words, pictures, videos will never do justice to how beautiful the views and scenery was during kayaking. We ended it by seeing a beautiful sunset. I would recommend kayaking to everyone that comes to Krabi. Please do sunset kayaking tour. I know it’s offered on beaches throughout Thailand during the day but watching the sunset while kayaking is truly amazing, hella heart eyes ?? and breathtaking ! Krabi is also the place where I tried the best pad Thai of my life and a really great mango pineapple and passion fruit smoothie! Next time I fly to Thailand I’m flying into Krabi Airport to continue island hoping where I left off.

Went to Vegas for a weekend to celebrate a girlfriends 24th birthday! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. During the day we went to downtown Las Vegas and did the zip lining experience which was well worth it! The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to see Migos perform at Drai’s nightclub Las Vegas. And for some of the best steak and Mexican food ever make sure you visit El Dorado Cantina.

Stayed in Lisbon for five nights in the cutest Airbnb located in Barrio Alto which was a very convenient location. In fact the Tram 28 which is a highly recommended tourist attraction had a stop right infront of our flat. I found Lisbon to be a great city to walk in! The colourful building and vibrant streets and close proximity of many tourist attraction makes walking very pleasurable. But to be honest, it was sooooo hot during our stay walking was really tiresome. The exhaustion from the heat took a toll on us and the Tram being packed with tourist gave us all the more reasons to take Ubers from one destination to another even if it was just a 10 minute walk. Ubers in Lisbon are super cheap! I’m talkig 3-4 euros minimum depending on where you’re going of course! While in Lisbon we took a day trip to Sintra to go view the shading castles and explore a bit of Caiscais. This will take up a whole day as Sintra is about a 40 minute train ride away plus a bus to the castle and a hike! Wear comfy shoes! We went to Costa Da Caparica to cool off at the beach where the waters are sooo clean and the waves so fresh attracting lots of surfers! There are many beaches along Costa Da Caparica we went to Praia Castello which the Uber driver recommended along with Praia Princess. We were not disappointed! Make sure you visit the TimeOut Marlet Lisboa to try some amazing food and please don’t leave without trying some Pastel De Nata from Manteigaria they are the absolute best! To see a beautiful view of Lisbon and Amalfa go up to St George castle bring your student ID to get a discount ? I tasted some of the best seafood in my life at Beira Gare restaurant! Don’t leave Lisbon without trying seafood! It’s amazing! Didn’t do any partying in Lisbon but I heard Pink street is where the parties at and Barrio Alto had people screaming and singing at 3am! I spent most of my time in Lisbon as a tourist and living as a local. Despite the extreme heat alert that week I enjoyed every moment of it and would definitely come back and explore more of Portugal!

I’ve always wanted to go to Barcelona ever since watching the cheetah girls movie when I was a young girl! There is so much life and beauty in this wonderful city. The people are kind even with Spanish and Catalan sometimes being a language barrier. There’s so much things to see and do in Barcelona we tried to squeeze as much as we could in the 5 days we spent there. The Hop-on Hop-off is a must if you enjoy being a tourist! Walking the streets of las ramblas was very exhilarating as well. The city is clean, beautiful and surrounded by beautiful architect making bike riding around the city a much more exciting. My friends and I stayed at an Airbnb in plaza espanya which is only 2 or 3 metro stops away from las ramblas and the downtown square. We found that taking the metro was super cheap and easy and convenient based on the location of our Airbnb. We also opted by booking a sail boat excursion through the Airbnb app which was one of the highlights of our tour! Being from Canada we met a lot of young people from the US and London and Paris who we later met up with in the evening to go party with. Booking a boat ride through Airbnb is soooo much cheaper than going to port Olympic than booking it through travel companies who target tourists at the ports and beaches. But my favorite part about Barcelona was the night life! Never in my life have I partied back to back 4 nights straight on week days and had sooo much fun! If you go to Barceloneta you’ll see a street filled with clubs right infront of the beach that stay open until 6am! Epic! We met so much great people who we kept in contact with via social media. Not to mention a little broken Spanish and some kindness might get you in the club for free a few nights LOL! I was expecting a lot of EDM and fist pumping music in Barcelona based on my experience in Mexico but I was in for a surprise. They played the top 40, hip hop, rap, trap music, Afrobeats, reggae and a few soca and dancehall here and there! I loved Barcelona so much I even started thinking of opportunities to move there for about a year. Ohhh and make sure you go try a seafood plater at Salamanca restaurant located in Port Olympic next to the beach! I promise you won’t be disappointed. A trip to Barcelona is not complete without some seafood! The club to go to with the best music in Barcelona is Shako! We were at club almost every night. We also tried Opium and Catwalk but I can’t remember them being as good as Shako and they definitely did not play afrobeats the way Shako did!
