Dubai, wow! Where do I start? If you enjoy thrills, adrenaline rushes, catching dope shots mixed in with relaxation and luxury this is the city for for you! Possessing the world’s tallest building (Burj Khalifa), fantastic places to dine, the 2nd largest mall in the world and also some of the best views and scenery to check off some amazing excursions; Dubai has it all. While in Dubai, I stayed at the Taj Dubai hotel. Taj Dubai is a very nice, clean and quiet hotel with a direct view to the Burj Khalifa; as well as a free running shuttle to the mall. As far as food is concerned, the mall has countless places to eat, however Dubai itself has some of the best restaurant one can ask for depending on the type of food you are in the mood for. They have a Scalini (Italian), Nobu (Japanese) as well as a Miss Lily’s (Caribbean) just to name a few. While in Dubai make it your business to take part in some excursion and activities. Check out Atlantis and their water park: AquaVentures. Test your skills and balance on the quads and sand boards in their sand dunes, catch some major speed and salt water to your face as you jet ski on the Persian gulf and don’t forget to check out Skydive Dubai where you will hop on a plane, reach 13,000 feet and jump out to over look all of Dubai, the Palm Jebei Ali and catch a feeling you’ve probably never felt before. Test your fears and sore past your limits! With that said, remember this is still a vacation so it is imperative that you find time to relax and rest. Check out the mall, where you can get lost for hours while keeping cool and shop at just about any store the world has to offer. After that head over to Drift Beach Club for a sun bed by the pool with some finger foods by your side and just relax for the afternoon. Take another day and hop on a yacht for a couple of hours and take a tour of the beautiful waters of the Persian Gulf, while getting a perfect view of the Burj Al Arab, Dubai Ferris Wheel, and the city’s sky line. Lastly, take about a 45 minute to an hour ride to Abu Dhabi and go see the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The white and gold structure is breathtaking and calming to the eye. Just be mindful that you must be covered from head to toe to enter the structure. You can purchase the native wear at the mall or rent it at the mosque. I didn’t get a chance to go old Dubai, but will do so on my next visit. The people in Dubai are very kind and the city is extremely clean; so be mindful and respectful of their culture. Dubai is an exciting place to visit and the weather is very warm to very hot all year around. While there life has a funny way of creating multiple smiles throughout your stay. I hope you have as much fun as I did. IG: __Sejiro__
Sometimes you aren’t looking for much adventure or too many thing to do. You just want a chance to get away from home, enjoy warm weather, beautiful waters, good food, the company of someone else and simply the chance to decompress and relax. This was my main goal when visiting Quintana Roo, Mexico; and boy did I achieve that goal. While in Mexico, I stayed at TRS Yucatan Hotel and it was magnificent. The hospitality was wonderful from the minute I stepped foot on their resort and into their beautiful lobby. Words actually won’t do this hotel justice but when you visit and stay at the adult only section of the resort you will be delighted. The villa was very nice and well kept, access to the beaches and pools was a quick walk away, and if you needed a shuttle the workers on site would make sure one was waiting for you within minutes. The food choices and restaurant came in a variety and the ability to just enjoy your entire day with different activities were pretty much endless. You want the opportunity to enjoy your time, and a chance to relax while romancing with great vibes....this is a very a good choice!
If you’re looking for a city to turn up a bit and have a good time with the fellas or ladies, Ibiza may be the town for you. Now let’s make one thing clear, Ibiza is known for being one of the biggest party cities in the world and it probably is. However, the party scene is dominated by house music; but for my friends and I that genre of music didn’t particularly work for us. With that said, we still had a good time and experienced a scene that was probably semi-new to all of us. On another note, we also found time to explore Ibiza for some adventure by driving through the entire island and climbing rocks to the beautiful views of Es Verde Rock. Lastly, if you have some downtime and are looking for some relaxation check out Hacienda Na Xamena. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
Morocco is different! Fun, but still different. While in Marrakech find time to feel a part of the city and culture. I got the chance to wear some of the clothing from the culture and ride a camel. This was fun but not thrilling, however it is a good chance to catch some great shots! After that hit the dirt and rock out on a 4-wheeler. The opportunity to get lost in the city with friends is very real, but it’s a good lost because you will find your way home and in the process you will stumble upon things to do and see. Lastly you’ll want to hit Le Jardin Majorelle. This is a beautiful botanical garden, giving one the chance to relax, take in some sites and get in some of the coolest pictures Marrakech probably has to offer. Marrakech is pretty quiet and I did go during Ramadan so that probably factored into the energy the city had to offer, but with that said it was still a great experience.
Rio! What more can I say, Brazil is what you probably imagine it to be. It has some of the most beautiful beaches from Copacabana to Ipanema. While in Rio, find time to explore the city. Check out the favelas where they shot Michael Jackson’s infamous They Don’t Really Care About Us music video, as well as scenes from Furious 5! After that check out Escadaria Selaron. These steps carry history, color, tourist and loads of positive energy. Lastly, you must visit Christ the Redeemer. It is truly a beautiful peace of art and overlooks all of Rio from above! Have all the fun Rio has to offer, but always remember to be safe and never put yourself in a compromising positions. IG: __Sejiro__
Abu Dhabi was beautiful, but I only got one day to visit that city. While there make sure you go to the Sheik Zayed Mosque. It is absolutely breathtaking. If you have a need for speed, also check out Ferrari World. They have the world’s fastest roller coaster: Formula Rossa.
While in the UK it’s best to just walk and get lost in the city. I didn’t spend much time in the city but while there i made it my business to see a couple of monumental structures. While in the UK you must make it your business to see London’s Eye, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. If you stand far away from London’s Eye and Big Ben you can also take some of the most amazing scenery pictures. London’s Eye is one of the most popular Ferris wheels in the world and us able to shed some light on what is usually a grey, gloomy sky in London. Big Ben and Buckingham Palace are two other venues that one must visit while in a London. Buckingham is beautiful palace which is gated and keeps a very well manicured lawn. I didn’t get the chance to become too familiar with places to stay or eat due to my short stay in London but if you are in you mid to late 20s the night life will be on your favor with energy packed music, as well as fun and free flowing locals.
Thailand is such a large country with a lot to offer. However, Bangkok is a city that is a kind of it’s own. While in Bangkok make it your business to play a real life game of temple run. There are a bunch of temples to see that will take your breathe way. The detail, architectural make up and holy aura bring a feeling of peace that you can’t quiet explain. The temples are very sacred and demand respect, so keep that in mind when visiting. There are also many stores to shop at for detailed suits for men; so if you are in the market for a suit and plan on visiting Bangkok check out what they have to offer. While in Bangkok I stayed at Grande Centre Point Terminal 21, this hotel had a lot to offer. I’d advise you google it. They have a very nice infinity pool, solid gym and a large shopping center attached to the hotel. The lobby is quite sharp and will give you the feel of quality from the minute you walk in. Enjoy Bangkok, but don’t end up like the fellas in Hangover...HaHa!!
Lisbon, is a interesting city. It reminds me very much of San Francisco. The stony, hilly and narrow streets are very similar to that of San Fran along with the colorful homes and 25 de Abril Bridge which is very similar to the Golden Gate Bridge. Places to visit while in Lisbon include pink street and the Lisbon Oceanarium. Visit some of the highest points in the city for Lisbon’s beautiful sky-line view, check out Christ The King and if you have time rent a boat with a couple of friends at Porto de Lisboa and have a party while cruising past Rio Tejo. Don’t expect to much of a hip hop environment when looking for the turn up at night, but if you are with the right person or people you can still enjoy the night life!
Venice! What a city, which is surrounded by water. Venice is a great city to roam around, relax, shop till your drop and feed your appetite. The Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco, and a gondola ride are must sees and do’s while in Venice. If you are looking for a very good meal by the water and the Rialto bridge Al Buso is your spot. The food there was very good. I stayed at the Aqua B hotel which was perfect location wise and also a great place to stay while in Venice. Aqua B will definitely set the mood if you are planning to travel to Venice with a significant other. Be prepared to shop while in Venice. Dress comfy and wear comfy shoes because you will do a lot of walking while in Venice.
Rome is a great city to freshen up your mind on history whike checking out ancient artifacts. The Roman Colosseum, Vatican City (Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel), Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and Altare della Patria are all must see landmarks. I stayed at the FH Grand Hotel Palatino. This hotel was perfect as far as location is concerned. The hotel isn’t anything too special but it is clean, a 5 minute walk from the colosseum and 15 minute walk from Rome’s major train station which can take you to other cities. I wasn’t blown away by the food in Rome; however Florence and Venice took care of that. So, I would advise that you save your appetite for those two cities. Dress comfy and wear comfy shoes because you will do a lot of walking through those monumental structures that Rome has to offer.
I just got back from my trip to Italy (Rome, Florence & Venice) and I must say this trip exceeded what I thought it would be. Rome has a lot of historical content and some sites that are breathe taking like Vatican City and the Roman Colosseum; but Florence & Venice are absolutely beautiful cities. I went with my lady and the energy is great for couples. If you enjoy walking, taking in sites, comfy temperatures, great food and shopping (mainly designer) those are the cities for you. Each of the three cities we visited had something unique to offer and I can definitely see myself returning to the country of Italy, especially because there are many other cities and sites that I didn’t have a chance to explore.
