We went to several places in Malaysia and our first stop was Kuala Lumpur, which is a typical, business oriented city, or least that area we stayed. We visited the Batu Cave, which I highly recommend. We then headed to Langkawi soon after, which is a more relaxed vibe. We stayed in a villa on the beach, which was spectacular. The water was so calming and peaceful and the sound of the ocean in the morning made me not want to leave the island. We were not there long enough to explore the dining life, so we just went to the main area and had dinner there. The food was mediocre and seemed repetitive (our fault, but we were very hungry). We then flew to Penang, which is known for welcoming expats, so things were a little more developed than it was in Langkawi. We really liked the food in Penang and would like to visit there again.

We were in Ho Chi Minh City in January. It is a very historic place to visit. We walked around the city our first day and just discovered nice places. We stopped at the war museum, which was very sad, but informative and well planned out. The locals were so friendly and the food was delicious. We did not have internet connection on our phones and did not bother to purchase any because we wanted to actually enjoy everything that was around us. We used the good old maps that were provided by the hotel and walked around using our feet. The markets are very busy, but cheap and good eats. I recommend trying Vietnamese coffee, if you're as much a coffee lover as I am. I would be aware of the traffic thought, it seems like no one wanted to stop for you to cross the streets.

I was in Bali in January with my husband and our daughter. We specifically stopped in Ubud and Nusa Dua. I loved every moment of Bali. The people were so friendly and welcoming. The food was so delicious. The landscapes, greenery and weather were absolutely delightful. We went to the Bali Swing in Ubud and spent a whole day there. The staff was very cheerful and really looked like they enjoyed their jobs. In Nusa Dua, we stayed local and went to the beach, which was very relaxing. I would highly recommend visiting Bali. Shopping was also very cheap and the market vendors were open to negotiating.
