Looking for some of the best food in South America go to Lima! I spent 3 weeks here solo as part of my travel journey and i really enjoyed. Along with the most beautiful coastline to the pacific ocean. They have a great diversity of food! Every restaurant was very good especially the Chifa restaurant which is a combination of asian and Peruvian Cuisine! My top restaurant recommendation is Buenaventura which is a famous local bakery in Barranco district. Very good with a diverse selection of baked goods! My recommendation for Lima Peru is to stay in Miraflores, safe with tons of restaurants and shopping!

I spent 3 weeks in Sao Paulo as part of my solo travels in South America. I enjoyed So Paulo but it is a huge metropolitan city, largest in the Americas with 12 million people and 22 more million in the surrounding areas. There is a plenty to do from museums to shopping to restaurants and city tours. It is quite expensive however. Id recommend using public transportation and to eat at local restaurants to reduce costs.

So I solo traveled through Ecuador for about a month and a half. At 22 years old i was looking for safe outdoor activities that were easily accessible from the city of quito. My top recommendation to be able to explore the rainforest is to either visit Mindo cloud forest or Banos rainforest. Each accessible by bus and have great accommodations if you want to spend a few days there. In both places i had the opportunity to hike waterfalls, do white water rafting, zip lining , giant swings, and most importantly jaw dropping views everywhere around me. I Ecuador has a lot to offer and i felt very safe as a black solo traveler. One helpful tip i'd give is to explore isla del platos or also called poor man's Galapagos. Along the coast of the country youll be able to do a day trip to the island and get to experience all the Galapagos Islands have to offer for a much lower cost!
