Don’t stop for gas here. I’d wait until the next town, perhaps Toledo. I don’t know how it is on affordability, romance, night life or food because I felt the vibes just stopping for fuel.

Bellevue Ohio is a very small town inbetween Clyde and Fremont and is on the way to Toledo, so sometimes unavoidable to pass through when going to the city. There is not much to do to be frank, and I urge all nonwhite peoples, not just Black people to avoid being caught here after dark. Personally, my brothers and I used to have to go here often after dark on school errands and have on three separate occasions been asked what we were up to, when we’d be leaving, who we knew there, etc. It is racially homogenous-white-and is only notable historically for being the birth place of a famous Nazi radio personality of the name Axis Sally aka Mildred Gillars, and has not changed much since. There are also numerous police checkpoints claiming they’re suddenly doing “sobriety checks” at the interstates and major highways when in reality there is the largest ICE detention facility nearby and have picked up several people. Pls stay safe, beloveds.
