This is not a sundown town. Small, lazy, and rural; yes. Sundown nooooo. I grew up here and have been back for years and thats never changed. Never dealt with racism here (they always knew better from my knowledge). Im out late often with no issues; the yt folks know not to act up here (they’ll stay to themselves before anything). Its boring and better for if you’re passing through on a road trip. Almost all gas stations are 24 hours as well as 2 restaurants. The rest of the restaurants and stores close between 9pm-12am. The “attractions” are….time passers lolol
Quite, Lazy, Rural Town. Sundown Town. This is a place where you are good during the day but must be careful after dark. Downtown closes at 6pm.
