Born and raised here and I haven’t experienced any racism outside of a specific dynamic at a previous place of employment. My experience with police here have always been cordial. Gentrification is rampant though.
Took my kids here for a road trip when we went to Hall of Fame Football place and my kids had an amazing experience and were treated good they even allowed them to play football on the turf outside
A great foodie and shopping City. However, growing white suprematism incidents around this City. As a southern Ohio city, Columbus is close to southern Ohio rural cities, where many people are identified as rural white.
Columbus Ohio is a very adventurous and exciting city to travel to. I enjoy going to Columbus Ohio and living it up. There’s so many things to do in Columbus Ohio from go karting, bowling, golfing and much much more. You’ll enjoy the river downtown and the park around the river. The short north is also very adventurous and cool to explore.
Visit the short north area for a good time of people watching & great food. There’s a lot good restaurants, entertainment, bars & nite clubs. Check out late night slice for great pizza and it’s open late. Check out some of the roof top bars. Check out Brassica for amazing Mediterranean food
Flavor 91 Bistro was full of family hospitality Weini, the Mother, made me feel warm with her house made soup samples, that cream mushroom soup and mama’s cinnamon ginger sweet tea?! They need to package and bottle that ASAP! Next Winta, the daughter, remembered my name every time & gave me the best cocktail in the world! It’s called When You Get A Chance btw!The entire staff was amazing I felt like I was in their home. The food?! Ethiopian Dry Rub wings & Flavor Burger was all-natural, grass-fed, non gmo, no antibiotic hormone free and seasoned to perfection with family recipes! I’m coming back for sure!!
