I felt completely safe and welcomed traveling to Enniskerry. I flew into Dublin and took a car service to Powerscourt Hotel in Enniskerry. The hotel was beautiful, very traditional. Staff was warm and friendly. The rooms were spacious and had a separate dressing room. The bathroom was large and had heated marble floors.

The hotel offers a formal afternoon tea with a great view of the gardens. In addition, they have free bikes for riding in the area. The hotel is walking distance from a distillery, golf course, the Powerscourt Gardens as well as shops. I walked alone and felt safe. The hotel is located in the countryside so other than golf, the village, the gardens, distillery, and shops around the property you need a car to do other activities like the waterfall which is a mile from the hotel. Due to the narrow roads, the hotel doesn’t allow you to ride bikes to the falls.

Breakfast at the hotel was OK depending on how busy they were. The service can be slow.

The hotel spa has a Himalayan salt room, which I highly recommend.

The gym facilities are top notch, all high-end modern equipment.

I traveled during the first week of August 2025. The weather was decent, partly cloudy with very little rain.

There were a lot of families with small children. That surprised me because there’s not a lot to do for children. They have an amazing pool area with designated family time hours.

I would recommend this town and hotel.
