The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. It is phenomenal but it isn’t free. You have to get the breakfast package. I can’t say any good things about the hotel. Since it’s pet friendly, the hallways and elevators smell like urine. I was here two months for work and there is no working laundry on the premises. My first room smelled like urine and then the second like mold. The staff is decent but for $150 a night I just expected more.
Buckroe Beach is a great local beach near Hampton University if you don’t want to deal with the tourist crowds at VA beach. No stores or restaurants on the property but near!
No problems other than local teens as a local high school near.

1865 Brewing was a GREAT find! I enjoy tasting local beers when I travel. I found this gem online after visiting the African American Museum at Hampton University. The variety of beers was great, the staff were excellent, and gave me some suggestions of other historical places to check in the area.
