This area is mostly industrial and has historic battlefields and a lot of snack food factories which offer tours. However, the vibe is not friendly to tourists or anyone with melanin. Gas attendant asked not just “where are you coming from?…But also where are you from? You’re people from?” Tone and infliction did not feel safe. Not recommended for any of my Black or Latinos. I would not return even to pump gas. Then I came across this article, which supports:

This town is extremely small.. I haven’t seen any minorities here yet.. still looking. I don’t have a warning at this time because I just got here. But I’m still looking around. It seems more of an industrial area than anything.
