La Paz is a fantastic city to visit. For Bolivians to see Black people is a very rare sight, it was a very regular occurrence to be asked to have a photo taken with them. La Paz is full of life and items to do. From the Basilica San Francisco to the Witches Market to the majestic Mirador Kili Kili where you can get a breathtaking view of the city, it is worth visiting for 2 days. My favorite activity was taking the Mi Teleferico or aerial cable car and taking in the entire city from the air. The nightlife is fantastic with many restaurants to enjoy at affordable prices. I recommend you also visit Uyuni which is a 10 hour bus ride away or 2 hour flight. To visit the Glass Mirror during rainy season is worth the memories

Ever wondered what it would be like to go across the largest salt flat in the world?

Let me be the one to tell you it is an incredibly surreal experience. You may have heard of these salt flats from the @nationalgeographic channel or seen them on you @windows screensavers, but nothing compares to seeing it in real life.

Covering over 4,050 square miles of salt you feel a sense of serenity and oneness with the world. The sunrises, sunsets and stargazing here are unmatched and if you’re lucky like I was, depending on the tour you choose you will get to stay in a salt hotel… yes a whole building with beds, showers, sinks made out of salt!

There are 3 main ways to get to these salt flats all of which are by tour

    1. From San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. This will be a 4 day/3 night tour.
    2. From Uyuni, Bolivia. 2day/1 night
    3. From Tupiza, Bolivia if you are coming in from Argentina. 4day/3night.

Traveler tip: if you visit the salt flats during the rainy season you will see the reflection on the sky and I’ve heard it is magical.

Thank me later, the adventure awaits ✨

Be sure to ride “teleferico” to get some amazing views of the city ! Its only about 2 dollars. Also, you can ride the “teleferico” up the mountains to the market and score some great deals on items and get some views of the city from the mountain top. La paz does not have many tourists, so you will definitely stand out as a foreigner in this city.
