I felt in love with this beautiful city of Salvador de Bahia.
For me, It’s more seaside than Rio or Salvador and more cultural.
The old city named Pelourinho is very picturesque and marvelous with all the colored old architecture, there is musicians everywhere who give you the envy to dance with them.
You have to see the Forte Santa Maria where you have a great view of the sea.
For the souvenirs you have the Mercado modelo near to the port with a lot of little shops of gifts or souvenirs.
I have the chance to spend a night in“Morro do São Paulo” which is on the Island do Tinharé, 2h from Salvador by boat, the beaches are so beautiful, and the great thing is there is no car. You can find good restaurants or pub at night.
And finally, taste the local ice cream, Brazilian send this in the street, it’s so Yummy!!!

I have visited Salvador several times and I am always amazed by the charm of this city.
Salvador is a very beautiful and colored city with a strong history.
The afroculture is very strong with food, music and population. A real pleasure.

    Place to visit :
    Praia porto do praia beach
    Pelourinho
    Nosso Senhor do Bonfim church

    Restaurant and party :
    Rio vermelho

Bar pub I recommend (Because I loved) : Chupito

Always look arround and never walk on the street with lots of valuable. Keep smartphone hidden and in area where this is people. The level of poverty is still high and violence is present.
As long as you stay in touristic or crowed areas, everything is ok.
