I’m a resident of NJ, Long Branch has a large Hispanic community, in recent years developers built luxury homes and town homes on the water. The new residents, New Yorkers generally from Staten Island, can be rude to everyone, the property can be expensive and we know what a lot of people with a few dollars act like. don’t let that deter you. Peer Village is a nice spot as well. Has a resort feel to it. They have a couple of nice restaurants as well. I’ve used the beaches there and never had an issue.
The past two summers large amounts of teens and younger people were gathering on the beach creating problems for the township and beach goers. They have shut that down with good reason. Parking is an issue in the summer months. They have a nice hotel right on the beach, reservations are hard to get during the summer. I have never felt unsafe, the many times I’ve been there or felt racial tension. My wife was the Pharmacist at the CVS when it first opened. They hold surfing events for handicapped people, 5K races and other events. I don’t think you should avoid it. Just be yourselves and enjoy it.

Traveling While Black
Definitely not a safe space. Strange looks, very bad energy. However it’s really pretty but has a history of being racist. 2019 the cops were shutting down Juneteenth events. Again the people there looked at my partner and I like I we were crazy majority of the time.
