The highlands of Papua New Guinea was a real treat. I stayed in the villages. I was the only tourist and the first or second Black American they had ever seen. It felt like family. Good food, arts and crafts. I played cards and gambled with the villages, spent hours in the big river where the children play and they also wash. There is no electricity except when the generator is on at night. Hot water has to be boiled and delivered in a vat. It was a fantastic time. And my photos are National Geographic worthy
