Poway is a lovely place quiet expensive but have some beautiful hotels.
Long stay bookings are encouraged. Air BnB are much larger to accommodate a family setting.
Places like Rancho Bernardo although predominantly white and Asian there are still room for a little black population.
Escondido is a lovely mountain view destination.

As a Filipino/mix, I love Taco Taco Poway! $1 Fish Tacos when you dine in. Owners are Mexican/Asian. Not sure their political opinions but employees are nice and early 20s. People of all ethnicities come and eat here, family friendly, outside seats for pets
