This is your sign to go to St. Kitts & Nevis and stop going to all the regular places everyone else goes. Im sooo glad I ventured out to St. Kitts, this island has the most amazing food, people and drinks…plus the sun is on one thousand percent PS and with the good comes one bad so make sure to bring 100 sandwich sized ziplock bags for alllll of your travel sized toiletries b/c if not they will take from you, dont say I didnt warn you. Worst airport staff ever.
Beautiful island with plenty of things to do. We were only there for 8 hours during our cruise stop off but I would definitely go back. I recommend everyone take a catamaran ride over to Nevis. Such beautiful scenery and fantastic run punch!
St. Kitts is the perfect destination for anyone seeking to visit a country rich of history. If you visit between December and January, you’re really in for a treat as that’s when their carnival, Sugar Mas, occurs. St. Kitts is a good destination for both young and old.
This twin island federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis is the place I call home. Located in the eastern Caribbean, this twin island paradise is a double delight. The islands are filled with breathtaking views. If you’re the adventurous type, the tiring journey to their volcanic peak are worth every step taken. If you rather do it the easy way, there are seasonal helicopter tours as well. Over on the south east peninsula, there is a real view of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea at the same time. The beaches are pristine, with various types of water sports and restaurants/bars. From here Nevis is only 5 minutes away by boat. The splendor of both these islands can only be truly understood by experiencing them firsthand.
Was able to book an excursion for ATVs while on the island. It was fun but you do get veryyyy dirty while riding out. Beautiful scenery and the white henny is the cheapest place to purchase the drink on the island.
This place is one of my favorite islands in the Caribbean! The people here are very welcoming, the beaches will leave you speechless, and the scenery is just gorgeous. I highly recommend taking an island tour so that you can get a glimpse of all that the island has to offer. We found a guy who offered private tours in his truck and he let us see experience St. Kitts like the locals do. If you go, make sure to visit the countryside. This island is volcanic so you will see lots of beautiful mountains here. It’s a great place to go ATV riding and ziplining as well. My favorite thing to do here was taking a ride out on catamaran boat and snorkeling. The water is clear and we saw lots of marine life. Make sure to add St. Kitts to your travel list.
Hello my name is StClair and I’m from NY born and raised where as my parents are from the Beautiful island of St. Kitts. I’ve spent countless vacations there from childhood to adulthood. It’s a beautiful place to visit you get everything an island gets to offer gracious locals , scenic ocean views and mountain views and authentic carribean food that will make never want to leave. If to visit I will suggest going to Nevis the island capital it’s the most modern and up to date area on the island but close enough to the unbeaten path for got adventurous travelers. * side note if you can go during carnival you will have the time of your life*
THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!
Early in the morning I swam with the Dolphins. I paid $150 and my family paid about $120 to play and pet them without getting in. No cameras were allowed and the pictures were very expensive. $35 for 1 print or $80 for a cd of all pictures of a single person. For our group of 5 the fee was $250 for a cd with all of our photos. We later found out that some people were able to talk them down and paid a lot less. None the less, swimming with the dolphins was an amazing experience that I recommend.
Be sure to get a taxi ride from a local. I recommend a lady name Veronica if you can find her. At the top of a mountain there is a breath taking view at the center of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. DON’T LEAVE WITHOUT SEEING THIS.
After the tour I went to the beach. I don’t recall which one but we walked through a bar to enter. The beach is a perfect place to relax or engage in water sport. I rode the jet ski alone and took a banana tube ride with my family.
The taxi ride, food, and water sports were all very reasonable. We paid $15 each for the taxi which included our tour and pick up from the beach. The banana boat was $10 each, and I paid $20 to ride the jet ski.
St. Kitts was amazing. I went summer 2017 with family and we had a great time. The locals are super friendly and give great recommendations on where to eat and activities to do. We rode ATVs which was fun. If you’re traveling with small children then I’d probably not recommend St. Kitts but anybody atleast 16+ will enjoy it. They have this place called Raggae Beach so we went and literally had the best lobster I’ve ever tasted in my life for dirt cheap. At night they do a bonfire on the beach which is cool. I wasn’t too crazy about the nightlife but if you’re looking for a place to relax and just enjoy an overall great vibe then definitely visit St. Kitts.
This is the most beautiful island I have been too! Black sand beaches, wonderful people, and amazing scenery! I relaxed all day on the beach with a margarita in my hand! Be care ful because the black sand can get very hot!! Would certainly go back!
