San Ignacio is like the adventure hub for all activities in central Belize! There are many adrenaline-inducing excursions that start here. It also sits close to the border of Guatemala that only costs 15 USD to head to if you’re in need for more wanderlust. There’s the Iguana conservation center, ATM trek (most popular and recommended), Xunantunich ruins, and Monkey Falls. In the town itself, there are plenty of bars and restaurants with very cheap happy hours. Nothing really goes on here at night unless you like sports because every bar has a TV showing American sports. I would recommend a place called Authentic Flavors which is a local food spot that was delicious. When coming to Belize and looking to do the extreme activities then San Ignacio is your central location.
