I traveled to Bali Jan. 22 - 26 and it was rainy season. We stayed in Ubud at the Ubud Dedari Villas. http://www.ubuddedarivillas.com/ . I loved this place. We stayed for 4 days and booked the 1 bedroom villa with breakfast and he total was $288.41. The people there are extremely nice and go above and beyond for anything that you need. We originally booked for Jan 21 - 25 but we missed our flight so we came a day later. They allowed us to change our reservation at no charge. Our villa was beautiful, and big! The bathroom was outside but enclosed so beware of bugs and lizards. We just kept the door closed and locked until we actually had to go in there. Breakfast was amazing! The banana pancakes and the Bali breakfast are a must try! The pancakes do come with honey instead of syrup btw. All you do is call and order your breakfast in the morning and they will deliver it straight to your room. They do have a free shuttle to the Ubud center. The shuttle is on a schedule but if they aren't fully they will take you whenever you're ready if you jus ask. The actual property is very beautiful and scenic for great pictures. And the do have an infinity pool !! Can't fault this place at all. Highly recommend.
Travelled to Cartagena in July. We spent majority of our time at the hotel. We did go to the Choco Museo or Chocolate Museum and it was great! You actually learn the history of chocolate and then you get to make your own chocolate. Very fun & a great experience. We did the all day Isla Baru tour.Tour picks you up from hotel and take you to a doc. You have to pay the doc fees and then you get on a boat to start your tour. They show you a few sites on the way and the first stop is at the Aquarium. It's really an ocean park but still beautiful. Its a small place but you get the see and touch the sea turtles up close and personal. Also the dolphin show and the nursing shark feeding is great to watch. After the aquarium they take you to Isla Baru or Playa Blanca. DO NOT recommend this place at all. Everything is overpriced and people harass you for money or to buy something every 3 minutes literally. The beach water itself is pretty but that is the only pro. Other than that there is nothing good I can say about this place. They know your a tourist and all they want is your money and they will literally harass you the ENTIRE time you are here. Least favorite place I've ever been in my entire life. The tour came with lunch. Not good and flies everywhere you can't even enjoy your food. Had to eat when we got back to the hotel. Going to the plaza at night is a MUST. There are so many local shops and street vendors for souvenirs. The people are super nice and the area is safe. We also rode a horse & carriage which was nice to sit back, and relax while riding around the city.
I travelled to Sydney from Jan 26th - 30th with my 6 yr old daughter. We rented an Airbnb by Manly beach for two days and we stayed at the Hilton one night and the Sofitel one night, both in darling harbour. Day 1 - After arriving the first day we checked into our airbnb , showered and took a nap. After well needed rest, we went to the mall and stopped at Target for food and snacks for the beach. `After the target run we headed to Manly beach. It was a nice clean beach and the waves were perfect. There are a tremendous amount of food options but beware because parking is a nightmare. We stopped at Guzman and Gomez for dinner on the way home. Food was good. I would compare it to a chipotle. Day 2 - We took the fast ferry to Circular Quay. from Manly. The ferry is cheap and fast way to get to darling harbour. The ferry takes about 20 minutes and the view is AMAZING. You get the view of the Opera House. (Highly Recommend ). We then walked to the Royal Botanical Garden. It just so happen to be family day, so they had games, painting and activities for children. Walking through the garden was phenomenal ! its so pretty and relaxing for a chill day. After, we took a uber to Mad Pizza E Bar in darlinghurst. DO NOT eat here! I'm 100 percent sure I got food poisoning. I ordered a cheese pizza with pepperoni and spinach and later that night until the next day afternoon I was vomiting my brains out. That was the only thing I ate that day so I'm sure it was that place. Day 3 - Checked into the Hilton. The Hilton is located in the perfect location! We went to the mall, literally less than a 5 minute walk. Did shopping and grabbed food at the mall. The Mall is HUGE! Then back to the Hilton, we went to the pool for a few and called it a night. DAY 4 - Checked into the Sofitel. This hotel is A1, pricey, but well worth it. Took the train and bus to Symbio Wild Life park. If you have children take them here! We went for the kangaroos. The kangaroos are in a huge fenced in area and you can buy feed for $2 upon entry. They also have a waterpark which was well needed because it was HOT. Highly recommend this place if your looking to see animals. They had koalas, and even a tasmanian devil which was cool to see in person. Got back to the hotel, showered and went for Korean BBQ at Yang San Park. Food was GREAT. The place was not traditional korean bbq, the have the grills at the table bu the waiter actually cooks the food for you. After we just walked around the harbour before going back to the hotel. Day 5 - checked out. Uber to the airport 75 USD!!!!!! crazyyyyyyyy
