Bali is beautiful and inexpensive to travel to. Bali is the type of city that you need 2 weeks to explore. Ubud offers activities like the Monkey Sanctuary ( entry was on 3 USD) and Sanur offers the beautiful beaches. I believe a budget of 25 USD will cover all activities and food the day.
If you want to be near the night life area, Bangla rd is the place to be. The streets of Bangla rd is swarming with people until 4 a.m. I had the opportunity to go to the club Illusion and let me tell you it was the best club I have ever been to in Asia. The DJ was on point with the music. The DJ played Hip Hop, Reggae, and Reggaeton. The club was enormous, with two floors and the club was full of lively people.
Being a BLACK female that is traveling solo my biggest priority is safety. Jordan is less desirable to travel to because it shares border lines with Syria, Iraq, and Israel. In fact, being in America as a black person is more dangerous than staying in Jordan. DO not let these high travel alerts on these government websites deter you from traveling here.
Petra is absolutely breath taking. No wonder why 100 million people back in 2007 voted it to be one of the 7 Wonders of the World. I accidentally booked the trip during Ramadan, but it worked in my favor. During high season 5000 people visit the heritage site per day. When I went there were barely any people around. The morning is the best time to go if you want to capture pictures with no one else in it.
My favorite city of all time with the most amazing pizza I have ever tasted. The pizza was made to perfection with just the right amount of ingredients. The pasta and seafood was fresh and the restaurants (Al Covo and Pizza 2000) gave us free shots and champagne while dining with them. I can’t wait to go back again
One of the most amazing country I have ever been to. My favorite dish from there was coconut rice. My mouth still waters from the thought of it. I ate at the La Perla and La Mulata in Cartagena. The city is super safe with military almost every corner and they even scrub the streets with actually soap, they don’t even do that in the USA. I would highly recommend going to Colombia.
Cuba is definitely up and coming. I actually caught a flight there from New York City during Fourth of July weekend for 300 dollars , which is unheard of. If you have a small budget to travel well look no further because Cuba is the place for you. I went there with four other friends and our Airbnb was a 6 min walk from Old Havana. Our Airbnb was immaculate because it look like it should belong in downtown in New York City. The entire apartment was newly renovated and it had two bedrooms and two full baths.The Airbnb split between four of us for our entire stay of five days cost us 112 a piece. Cuba has a lot of history and being from the United States helps people to appreciate how fortunate we are to have opportunities. I spent a total of 300 dollars for the duration of my stay. Most cost went to food, transportation, exchange fee, and a couple of excursions we did. What a low cost for such an amazing experience. I do have to mention please do not drink the bottle water they have and only eat at hotels . I threw up twice while I was there. I was apprehensive to eat until we discovered to only eat at hotels.
