A Little About Me:
I enjoy traveling to experience and learn about different cultures and explore the beauty in other places. Some of my favorite places to visit were Paris, France; Havana, Cuba; and Venice, Italy. My most memorable trip was visiting the Greek Islands during my Eastern Mediterranean Cruise. As an educator, I’ve taught and read about many interesting places I’ve visited. However, I have learned that traveling to these places is the better education. I’m excited about sharing my experiences using the travel map.
Santorini was absolutely beautiful! Even after all my preparation, I still was shocked by all the people. Everyone bucking for that perfect picture?! Thankful for my Greek Fest excursion. Was able to experience some Greek food and dance...OPA! The sunset was breathtaking!
Was only able to spend one full day in Venice before leaving for my scheduled cruise. So, note to self...plan to stay at least three full days next time we visit. But, in my one day, I was able to visit the islands, Murano and Burano. Enjoyed Burano more because of the vibrant colors of the homes and more energy from the people. Ate gelato ALL day?! Hate that I did not get to do a gondola ride. Will do the next time.
Las Vegas was awesome. It was great to visit without gambling. I am not a gambler. So, I was very pleased with the other things to do. The David Copperfield and George Wallace shows were very good. Visiting the Mob Museum and the CSI experience was interesting. But, my favorite thing to do was visiting the Red Rock Canyon. Viewing the different rock formations and colors were fun.
My first trip to Paris was so rushed that my husband and I needed a do over. Our second trip was sooo much better with a dinner cruise on the Rhineland-Palatinate enjoying many of the sights from the water. Also did the Hop On Hop Off bus tour. But, the city was just so crowded. Summer just isn’t the best time to visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed riding in the antique cars. The ‘55 Chevy Convertible was a beauty. Exploring the cigar factory was interesting.
